If you have never worked with us before, read this page first. It explains the service, what you need to have in place, and what happens when a customer buys from you. The integration guides come after.
1. How it works
You sell. We hold the stock, pack it and ship it to your customer.
Cosmetic Wholesale catalog ──feed──▶ your shop (stock + your cost price)
│
your customer pays you
│
your shop ──order──▶ Cosmetic Wholesale ──▶ warehouse ──tracking──▶ your shop
Two things follow from this picture, and they explain most of the rules further down:
- You pull, we never push. We publish a catalog file; your shop reads it. We never write into your shop and we never see your customers' payments.
- You pay us, your customer pays you. Your customer's money is yours. Ours is taken from a prepaid wallet at the moment you place the order.
2. Opening an account
Register at cosmeticwholesale.eu. This is a business service, so registration asks for business details:
- Company name, company registration number (KvK or the equivalent in your country), and VAT number
- Website, phone, and a billing address
- Which channel you want: Dropshipping, wholesale, or both
We do not ship to the United Kingdom, so a UK delivery country cannot be registered.
Your account then waits for approval. Approval is done by a person, not automatically.
Before you are approved you can sign in and look around, but you cannot top up your wallet, start the dropshipping subscription, or get a catalog feed token — so integration work starts after approval, not before.
3. The dropshipping subscription
Dropshipping requires an active subscription: €39 per month, with the first month free. The current price is always shown on our dropshipping page.
- The free month starts when you activate it from your account, after approval.
- Renewal is charged to your wallet automatically each month.
- If the renewal fails because the wallet is empty, dropshipping ordering stops until it is paid. Your catalog and your integration stay as they are; you simply cannot place new orders.
- You can cancel at any time. There is no refund for the remainder of a paid month.
4. The wallet
The wallet is a prepaid balance. It is how you pay us.
- Top up by card, from Account → Wallet. Payments are handled by Stripe; the amount can be anything from €0.50 to €5,000.
- Every order is debited the moment it is placed — goods, shipping and VAT together.
- If the balance does not cover an order, the order is not rejected. It is created and held. Top up, and it goes through; nothing is charged twice. Your customer's order stays open the whole time. This is the single most important behaviour to get right in your shop, and each integration guide explains how it is handled there.
- Your balance and the full transaction history are on Account → Wallet.
Keep a buffer. A wallet that runs dry stops both your orders and your subscription renewal.
5. What a product costs you
The catalog gives you a cost price in EUR, excluding VAT. On top of it:
Shipping is charged per country and per package, not per order line:
shipping = ceil(quantity / 12) × the fee for the delivery country
Twelve units make a package. The per-country fees are published on our dropshipping terms page — check them before you set your own shipping prices, because what you charge your customer is your decision and your margin.
VAT is determined by your billing country: 21% for the Netherlands, 0% for other countries. What was charged is always shown on the order.
There is no minimum order value for dropshipping. (The €500 minimum you may have seen applies to the wholesale channel.)
6. Your retail price
You set it. We store no margin for you and never touch your prices.
Our plugins calculate the retail price like this, and we recommend the same formula if you build your own integration — that way prices do not jump if you ever switch between the two:
retail_price = round(cost × (1 + margin_percent / 100) + margin_fixed, 2)
Remember that cost is ex VAT, and that your own shipping charge to your customer is separate from what we charge you.
7. Your feed URL and token
Once you are approved and on the dropshipping channel, go to Account → Catalog feed. There you will find:
- the feed URL for the catalog
- your account token — the same token is used for the catalog and for sending orders
- the WooCommerce plugin download
The token identifies your account. Never publish it in client-side code. If it leaks, use Generate new link: this revokes the old token immediately, so update your shop right after.
8. After the order ships
We hand the parcel to the carrier and write the tracking number back to your shop. The plugins do this for you; over the API you read it from the order.
Orders cannot be cancelled once they are placed, and returns are handled case by case — when the fault is ours, or when the product comes back resellable. Shipping costs are not refunded. Write to contact@cosmeticwholesale.eu with the order reference.
9. Now connect your shop
| Your shop | Guide |
|---|---|
| WooCommerce | WooCommerce — install the plugin, paste URL and token |
| Shopify | Shopify — install the app, paste URL and token |
| Custom system | Catalog feed first, then Partner Order API |
If you run WooCommerce or Shopify, use the plugin. It already does everything the two API pages describe, including the wallet and retry behaviour.
